To keep Haddock quiet and happy - this is the tanker I started a while ago and it is slowly progressing. The model is a Revell kit of the modern tanker Esso Glasgow in 1/400 scale. I am backdating it to the BP British Pride which my father sailed on in 1942. If I can get it finished to about 10% of the quality Haddock gets his ships then I will be happy.
The hull is put together with the decks and brass railings added. The bow had to be modified to make it a straight up and down instead of angled forward as modern ships are.
I am working on making the funnel taller and changing the accommodation front and the masts.

Well this is the bridge - ( as an engineer that is the place that people who are not good enough to become engineers have to go. )
The first shot shows the instruction sheet as the bridge is on the modern tanker, the second shows the changes I have made to backdate it to the British Pride in 1942.

A very interesting project, especially seeing it has family connections.
I'm watching this one closely

This is the jetty and rail track for the oil trucks -- my father said that they discharged oil straight into the railway trucks -- so trying to make some small scale oil trucks. The warehouse is OK (I even got the roof tiles on the correct way round this time, before Zak reminds me about the Hungarian model I made.)
I don't like the rings for fastening the ship and the protection bollards so will change these for smaller types.
