Hi Kitey,
It looks like a comprehensive build.
Q. Is it the same Bentley originally released by Airfix, presumably then by Heller (they were partners at one time) and now by Revell?
I think it might be, due to subject, scale, and possible historical lineage.
Answers on a postcard please, scrap that idea, post them here instead!
Cheers,
Bigkev

The one from Airfix was 1/32 and the revel one is 1/24, so they are not the same, well I don't think so.

Hi Zak,
Actually I was wrong, the one I was thinking of was the one in 1/12th scale, though you are right they did make a 1/32 scale kit that wasn't as detailed as the larger one.
I just presumed the link with Heller and Airfix and it threw me.
Cheers,

Aparently the 1:12 Airfix was quite a decent model....so I have heard. This one is made of that horrible soft green plastic that melts straight away when adhesive is applied and doesn`t take paint very well. The bits dont fit too well neither and I had to carve a 2mm chunk out of the chassis to get the engine to sit straight and line up with the clutch and gearbox. Oh the joys of modelling. I will make summat of it though, even if it is only a practice piece for my first airbrush attempts.

Hi Kiteman, the art of airbrushing is practise practise practise!! Get yourself a decent book on the subject because you will need it, there are plenty of them out there.

Good luck Bridlufc

A bit more stuck on and my first attempts with an airbrush on the bodywork.....far from perfect but hey, it`s a learning curve. The model is as I said not too clever in the fit and I had a fun time squeezing the body panels to fit the floor pan to get it into the chassis at the front. Never mind, it`s all in now and sitting correctly. Lots more to do though, see what you think...

Hi Kiteman,
I agree, it looks okay to me also. Airbrushing takes time to learn, but it looks like your on the right track already.
Well done, 'Star' on your school report............

Thanks guys, this thing has nearly gone in the bin a few times allready! But, as they say, we`ll make summat of it.

So, I´ve got this one done. It was an experience in airbrushing that didn`t go too well but I have learned a lot from it. I shall use the experienced gained on this model on my next attempt. See what you think:

Hat's off to you Sir!

A great looking model. Don't forget that we all see our own faults in what we build, but the proof in the pudding is getting others to say 'hey, that looks great' and you've done it with this one.
Another Kiteman success I say.................................
