Thanks Chris,
Well moving on, the cockpit tub has been painted and the edges of the clear canopy painted in same colour to stop refraction of light.
Stuck in place with Micro Kristal Kleer. Next up masking those canopies..............
I hope my next is always better

After an hour and a half at the bench, two canopies masked with bare metal foil.

A bit more progress.
The RLM 76 Lichtblau has been sprayed onto the fuselage of of the B-2 and the fuselage and undersides of the B-1 Trainer.
I have also added the towing ducting underneath the B-2 ready for its towed fuel tank. The drop tanks have been sprayed gloss black ready for a coat of AK interactive metal , and the wheel hubs also in black, tyres to pick out.
I hope my next is always better

Hi All,
Both models well underway with painting. Both had had the upper surfaces painted, and the fuselage mottling applied.
It took a couple of attempts to get it something like. The Trainer B-1 still needs some mottling doing to the engine nacelles, the B-2 awaiting Black undersides.
I hope my next is always better

Have you decided which Geschwader/Schule they're from yet?

Hi Chris,

The trainer version the Me262B-1a will be 'white S' B3+SH (W.Nr. 170075), 1./KG(J)54, Giebelstadt Air Base, Germany, November 1944. One of the options in the base kit.

The 'Stretched' Me262B-2 Night Fighter will be a spurious machine in the markings of 10/Natchjagdgeschwader 11, Schleswig, Germany. May 1945.

Hi All,
Now finished the Me262B-1 trainer, with exposed starboard engine.

Finished mainly in Tamiya Acrylics with some Vallejo Model Air and other Vallejo colours.

The model represents a Me262B-1,'White S' B3+SH (W.Nr. 170075), 1./KG(J)54, Giebelstadt Air Base, Germany, November 1944.

I hope my next is always better
