This is work in progress. This is a Ciro kit which is the Kopro kit with addional resin and brass parts. The helicopter is an ECM variant of the Mil Mi8 flown by the Czech republic. Basic kit needs a bit of work - done a couple of these previously.

Looks interesting, when was it flown -- the original not the model ???
What colour scheme will it be in ???

Hi Chris,
Another vertical masterpiece.
Have you done a gunship version before?
Watching with interest.
Cheers,
Bigkev
I hope my next is always better

I wiil finish the model in a green and grey camoflage with Czech roundels etc.

I remember very clearly learning how to identify these things from the NATO Aircraft Recognition guides.  Them big Soviet things always fascinated me.

Here's a photo of the etched brass parts for the antenna arrays on each side.
I think I could do with some tuition from Tony looking at what I have yet to do.

Brass is best -- or is it brass makes your head explode, unless your name is Haddock

Looking great Chris - how did the brass go was it easy to bend into shape ????

Nice work Chris, don't you just love etched brass?

Haddock

Nice looking stuff.
Haddock.

No brass bending on these parts. The separators are resin glued in place. I have a little brass bending to do yet on some steps and the antenna mounting stays. I'm sure they are not upto Tony's standard or complexity.

Great skills on show.
