In an attempt not to upset Haddock, no steam on this one.
This is another resin/white metal kit.

I would have thought a chemist of your calibre would have devised a method of representing steam by now!!
Joking aside, this is building into a fascinating little collection. There must be scope for some "interesting" foibles!
Haddock.

Yes, probably, I am about to attempt some scratch building.

This will be a sort of Land Dreadnought/Ironclad sort of vehicle, it is just around in my mind at the moment. It is those guns in circular turrets that do it.

I still have another of the smaller ones to finish first.
The picture is to keep Roger amused.

Thanks Zak, much appreciated.

Is there a back story to this Anglo-French army you are building?  They certainly look cool with both the Union Jack and Tricolor on them.

Roger

zak

The Tricolour was supposed to be like the tail flashes on an aircraft, I never thought of an Anglo-French Alliance.

Ah, that makes sense!

This theme looks so suitable for scratch building, I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

It will probably be a large tracked vehicle, one of Her Majesty's Land Ships (HMLS), with ironclad like features, it still whizzing around my head.

Well I made a start on the bodywork, this will be clad in plastic card later.

More thoughts into 3d.
The inner has been built from 4mm foam board.

As I said, I do like these thingys, and very well build they are too. Well done Zak. I am looking forward to what comes out of your head!!!

Hi Zak,

There is something very appealing about Steampunk. Is it because we are drawn to the fantasy side of the subject, not real, but just possible in the future.............
Can't wait to see this one develop.
Cheers,
Bigkev
I hope my next is always better

MSea

looking good but what scale is it - it looks larger than the others ???????????????
MSea

zak

It is larger, same scale, but its a Dreadnought/ Iron Clad Land Ship ..................it may become HMLS Britannia or Albion, not sure yet?
I will try to pose it next to one of the others.

I am impressed - and at the moment am collecting old toothbrushes and other assorted junk - that will make Haddock happy ( I don't think )

The whole project was kick started by the tracks I had made earlier for a Bullock Creeping Grip Tractor that never got finished.
The whole body is mounted on the four tracks, I am not sure how yet, but time will solve that.
The second picture will give you an idea of how much bigger it is than the other ones.
I have ordered Queen Victoria and she is on her way. I think she will become Her Britannic Majesty, she should be a little steampunkish!
