Looks good Haddock.
Weathering is a form of art, and too easy to overdo.
Stick with what you prefer, you past paint jobs are stunning in their own right.

It's looking good so far.  It must be hard to know what colours are best especially when you've only got them black and white images to go by.

zak

I think most of WW1 and before was fought in black and white, most coloured pictures were hand tinted and the colours are not exact!

These old pictures are very accurate and were in colour, the fact is that the whole world was black and white before the invention of colour after WW1.

At last a bit of progress, Masts and funnels aren't stuck yet, nor the very top deck which isn't painted yet.
A fair bit to do yet before I can put them in place. If you get the assembly sequence wrong, some of it won't fit, the top deck fits around the foremast which is tapered so that has to go on first allowing the deck to slide over it from further up the mast. Lots of brass to go on too.
Now I'm struggling to take a decent picture!

But you struggle so marvellously Haddock.

A contender for Britain's Got Talent I reckon!

Could not agree with you more Kiteman.
I have had the 'Privilege' of seeing Haddocks work, and it is mind blowing what he ends up with. If I ever get half as good I'll be happy.
As usual fantastic work Haddock, matey!

You do go on a bit you lot!

But thanks.

We are all simply dumfounded by your Talent.

Bit more progress. I've decided that the mysterious appendage behind the fore-funnel is definitely some form of derrick so here it is complete with pulley. The brass-work certainly makes it look more "busy"don't you think.
