Its not sorted yet, but a bit cleaner.
I thought that when modelling got too much I could play trains!

All points wired up and track ready to go, on board 1 that is.
Including a capacitor discharge unit for the points, it gives a much cleaner switch.

Station Building in situ, it may move yet!

Point Control Panel.

Board 2 will have the triangular junction on it.

Looks like there's a lot of planning and prep work going into this one?

Looking good Dave. At this rate you'll have it ready for the annual competition.

Wow, your realy getting back into it.
Lots of different skills on show here. Brilliant!

Impressive skills in virtually every type of model you build.
Have you developed the correct 'choo choo' sound to go with this one?
Nice work.
I hope my next is always better

If he can sync hearing aids to a sound system he'll get the 'toot toot' when the batteries are running out. Ask me how I know (I call it Casey Jones!!)

zak

My hearing aids are synching ok thanks = pardon, what did you say?

Peco uncouplers installed together with a homemade one - clear plastic and metal rod superglued, I don't know how it will stand up to the wear and tear. It seems to work as well as the proprietary Peco ones and it is less visible.
They are operated from the edge of the baseboard, I may buy some posher knobs as time permits.

Platform planning and station building.
This is a resin Item by Scenecraft, normally retails for £60+. I pecked this up for £22. A bargain.
Based on a station on the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway.
Now to decide on the platform, soil or paving slabs, paving slabs I think.
Views, with and without the train.
The loco is a 3d printed item on a Kato chassis.
The coaches are by Peco and Bachmann.

The blue pieces of card cover up the holes in the baseboard made for the point motors to pass through.
