Yes the rigging ended up twice as thick with the dust after about a couple of weeks - the "good old days"  -- :o :o :o -
How true.

A small harbour.

Looks great the harbour finishes off the ship models and puts them into context.

A very nice harbour indeed. It does set the models off well.

Replacing the clear plastic ratlines with home made ones -rather time consuming.
No shine when you look at them.
I have also added furled sails to some of the models, these were made from card.
I wanted some of the fleet to be at anchor.

More of the same, this brig and frigate have home made ratlines.
The lighthouse and Martello tower are from Warlord Games, Black Seas, they just needed painting.
The harbours were scratch built.
Nothing is fixed in place,

I like the effect of the diorama. It certainly adds a lot.

Sorry I forgot to explain fully what the kits contain.
These are proper little kits, many are plastic and come in the usual fashion attached to a sprue/runners.
This is the merchant ship, you get two one large and one smaller, they are very similar.
These have resin hulls and white metal fittings, you get clear plastic ratlines, flags, boats, figure head(s), card sails and so on,
I will replace the ratlines with home made ones.
You also get some thread for rigging, I used some finer stuff.

A fair bit in them considering the size.

Red Lancer

Fantastic!!!!
I really enjoyed looking at that.
Took me back $%£$ years!

In the original set there were 3 frigates and six brigs.
I decided to make some of the brigs larger and smaller - a cut and shut exercise.
One of the brigs as a pirate ship.
The first picture shows, an original and a larger and smaller one.

The British fleet attempt to capture a pirate.
