I am always at sea -- so it must be drifting.

Well back to the wheelhouse. Some bracing inside and then cleaned up.
The doors have now had hinges and door shutting handles fitted.

Hi Msea,
Like the build, and how you write on the parts so you know what is top.
Is it an age thing? I have to do something similar.
Cheers,
Bigkev

Boat hull cut to shape and some work done on the aft end. Wheelhouse and Katushka just placed in position.
Next jobs are to finish the missiles and cut the boat bow to shape , then make a T34 tank turret for the front of the boat - was going to get a 1/72 Zvezda model next time in York or Brid but decided that as the rest is scratch built might as well go "the whole hog" and try to make the tank turret as well.

Work started on the bow - and before you ask YES i did have the extractor fan running and a full face mask ( yes I do look better with the mask on than off) but remember that MDF is carcinogenic so if you are machining it, do take all precautions.

MDF board is banned in the U.S. for that reason

Holes drilled for the stanchions -- brass rod placed into the holes and cut to length  -- when they are all in place 2 rows of wire will be added for the rails.

Small jig made to help make the portholes on the ships side the same thickness.  She has 2 ford and 3 aft at the crew accommodation positions.

Hi Msea,
Love all the detail into this scratchbuilt project. The stanchions all drilled in place, and now the portholes all to same thickness, you're a glutton punishment aren't you.
Its going to be a good one this........................
