Just think of them as challenges not disasters.  And look how your modelling has come on in overcoming them.

You really have pulled a blinder with this one Kitey. You're certainly putting me to shame, I really must get more motivated and on with it...

So, at last I have got the cursed model finished. Lots learned like don`t glue headlamp glasses with super glue or they will go white and keep away from children. Despite all the setbacks this was an enjoyable model and I think that it looks ok.....what do you think?

Bigkev

Well Done Kiteman!

You certainly have had your problems/challenges with this kit, but the end result is a credit to your modelling abilities.
Cracking Job Grommit!

I hope my next is always better

We learn as we go along, well done, what's next?

Next is almost finished......here it is so far:

zak

Grumpy by name and nature

Haddock

Where do you store your completed models? Are you a member of a club, and do you show your models?

Bridlufc

Kiteman

I store my models in cabinets in my model room, although it is getting now full. I have asked this questions several times in the club newsletter and on this website but no-one seems to want to tell me waht they do with their models.
I am a member of this club and have also started a club here in Germany about 3 years ago. Nothing formal like BWSMC, more  a regular meet from some modelbuilders where we sit and discuss model building and share techniques over a cup of coffee at my house.
I have only ever shown my models once and that was at an event in our village where our little club put on a stand at the local spring fair last year. The model scene is very different over here than in UK. Should anyone be interested I would be happy to throw summat together and explain the differences.
I hope that your questions are more or less answered, thank you for asking.

...and for you Zak and Haddock, no it isn`t the Wespe, it is in 1:35 and is called :-

Mine are gathering dust on shelves on the top landing outside my man cave, I will post some pics of my man cave very soon

Bridlufc

Roger

I have a few in a cabinet on the landing, some more in a cabinet in the model room, and the rest stored in boxes.
All the old stuff I gave away years ago as they weren't good enough.

So with the Panzer just about finished I have started on the next mystery model, here is the engine with some paint splashed on as it will not be visible when in situ. It is a V8 with a dry sump and sticky up exhausts, but the question is....to what does it belong???

bridlufc

Is it one of those novel hot rod type thingies  that kit manufacturers thought were popular in the sixties or early seventies?

Nope!! Here is the next clue....
