Meanwhile, in between paint and transfers and glue drying I decided to attempt a Bedford OY GS truck.
I am struggling with this as I can't quite get the cab right.

Dave,
Your 19 Squadron taxi...
Brilliant!
I love it!!!
Where did you get the inspiration for that from?
I MUST make some 19 Squadron Spitfires now to place around it!

Hi Zak,
Have you looked at Aerobonus (by Airies) on Hannants?
There are some RAF figures that might be of interest to you, especially drivers of vehicles.
Worth a look maybe?
Cheers,
Bigkev

When you lay it all out in position -- how large an area does it take up ??????
Is Neil paying by the area taken up  or the number of models ????? and will you need smelling salts for him when you present your bill ???????

No cost, just undying gratitude, there are several areas, one about 6 ft x 4 ft and another 3x2 or thereabouts.
I am not sure that I would take it all anywhere all at once.
So one area is the hangar, control tower and the MT sheds, the other is the dispersal pen.
Neil et al also have some scenic bases for control towers and sheds to go on. The overall size of the BOB display was supposed to be 60 ft x 4 ft at Telford I believe.

I've already had one heart attack, and all this talk of PAYING is starting to raise the old blood pressure again!

By the time Dave has finished producing Battle of Britain buildings and vehicles etc, he'll be able to fill TWO 60ft x 4ft displays!
I may even run out of Spitfires and Hurricanes to populate the dioramas!

As everything is in modular form, as Dave mentioned, different buildings/vehicles/aeroplanes could be used to create different dioramas...
