Haddock

Quivering in anticipation.
Haddock.

So, while the first coat of paint dries on the Morris, it is onto the Fordson, the last vehicle in the photo.
This is a 3 ton Fordson 6x4 on an E917T chassis, many of these were used in the balloon winch role as well as foam tenders. They were also fitted with bus chassis for bomber crew transportation. The Fordson Sussex seems to be very similar.

Blimey you're batting on with your modelling!

I'm about to spray some Sky under surfaces on a trio of Spitfires (I know, yawn!!!), that I'm doing as a diorama based, upon a real photo of three No 92 Sqn Spitfires taking off at Manston in the autumn of 1940.
I have just painted the pilots, but maybe should have glued them in to place BEFORE I joined the fuselage halves, as it looks like I might have "fun" easing them in to the cockpits! Doh!

Oh Heck Biggles,
You' better get that Camera found, and get posting, or Haddock will have you swabbing the decks...

Walking the plank no less, maybe even keel- hauling.
Haddock.

Careful Haddock, I think you mean walking the plank, be careful with those consonants.

More progress, the Morris has had two coats of Blue.
The Fordson continues.
I am trying to leave the Fordson as individual bits, but it is quite hard not to stick it all together.

I would if I knew what a consonant was.
Looks OK to me though.

I thought it was somebody who went into space - hohoho

I have been trying to work out the foam apparatus on the rear, no plans and very few photos of this particular vehicle, so best guess.
The bits and pieces are made from anything that fitted the bill.

Hi Zak,
Very clever stuff that, impressive collection of models for this diorama, you'll be having your own IPMS 'Special Edition' at this rate.
Excellent.

Hey Zak,
You could fill a magazine with a 'Modellling Battle of Britain buildings and vehicles' series of articles....
Looks like IPMS Magazine might be the beneficiary???

It would certainly be an alternative 'take' of the more traditional Battle of Britain fare!!!

Love 'em,
Neil
