KP - a timely resurrection

Many decades ago in the 70's KP issued the first Mig.21 in 1/72 that grabbed the imagination of modellers all over the world. Previous kits from Airfix and Frog/Hasegawa had failed to live up to expectation but the KP Mig.21MF heralded a new era in modelling for this venerable fighter aircraft.

Some might recall a previous article in these pages following contact with the company hinting at the possibility of another Mig.21 - nay, a new moulded kit appearing in the near future. There have been many 'clones' with modified fuselages and weapon packs but now it appears we do have a brand new release - or do we?

Looking at these new sprue-shots below, I notice that each kit includes two sets of wings, something we find in the more exotic and necessarily expensive RV kits. Could we be seeing a re-packaged RV kit under the KP label or is this a brand new kit simply emulating RV's standard? Time or one of you will tell...
