Russian company, called Invent Prototyping (Saint Petersburg), seems to have that answer to our prayers depicted in a tiny 79.75mm-(3.13 inch)-long model ship, built on a very high quality industrial level 3D printer.

I honestly don't know where it will all stop.  Whilst you could argue that these huge advances in technology can improve the lives of people immeasurably in the medical field, what do we really gain from this on the recreational front except to gaze in wonder and become ever more lazy?  Don't get me wrong, some of the stuff is very useful to the creationist for enhancing dioramas and such like and I'm sure I'll find a reason to buy some but I go back to me initial comment - WHERE WILL IT STOP?

Quotes from Roger Waters' Amused to Death are not required.

"What God wants....." All very nice but in my opinion nowt to do with modelling and not the answer to any of my prayers. Good for the proffessional diorama builder, but as I said, nowt to do with modelling.
