Protesting Paint

Has anyone used this 'blankety-blank' paint. I've now had two bad experiences with it where, once dried (after necessary multiple coats!!) the slightest 'interference' such as masking an area - then large areas/chunks peel off almost in one piece... What the 'L' am I doing wrong?

you are doing nothing wrong, I have had the same experience with it. I tried changing my primer, that didin`t work, so then I used it without primer and it was somewhat better but still not as "solid" as I would have liked. It Needs to be thinned well down and applied in several coats, if you can be bothered. Q. Are you brushing or spraying?

Brushing - several thin coats as you say. I'm considering a home-mix of Tamiya as an alternative?

Hi Pen-Pusher,

Never tried it but heard some unfavourable remarks about it, as yours and Kiteman's experiences. I prefer Tamiya sprayed, never had a problem to date with that.
