Looks like something adapted to carry passengers, could it be a DH4?

Bigkev

I think its a DH.9..........

Judging by the cowling.

Kev wins again, ist a DH9, this time the air-ambulance version. The DH9 was pretty useless as a fighting aircraft and at the end of WW1 were modified for load carrying purposes. For the ambulance role, a special installation was built behind the cockpit over the former gunner's position in the widest part of the fuselage, where it was possible to fasten stretchers keeping the injured in a steady position. The construction of the fuselage itself was little changed, there simply appeared a prominent fuselage fairing. Only a single machine of this variant was built, and its operational use was short, because from the mid 1920's more capacious ambulances were produced, converted from more modern twin-engined bombers or transport airplanes.

Parallel to this I have decided to start on something that would compliment this aircraft very well. I need summat to do whilst waiting for glue to dry properly. It is in scale 1:48 so will fit lovely on a diorama with the DH9. It`s small, well detailed, fiddly but very enjoyable, and apart from being in black plastic (yuk!), so far so good. Lets see what it is?????

Do I get any points for saying it's got four wheels?

zak

Model T Ford-ish, starting truck?

Kiteman

Hey Zak....you spotter, Model T is correct...1 Point. No Points for starter truck though.

Bigkev

If I say Model T ford Ambulance, do I get a point??

Bigkev
I hope my next is always better

zak

Is it an RPM kit Model T Ford?
Machine gun?
Supply??
Ambulance?
Not usually in black plastic though.
So maybe some other maker?

Kiteman

Yes Kev, you get another point.....it is the ambulance version.....just like the aircraft. It is the RPM Kit in 1:48 so should compliment the DH9 perfectly.
