This is my attempt to create English bond brickwork, these cottages will be consigned to the back of the layout.
The bricks are 3mm x 1mm and the headers half that size.
It has a rustic feel about it!

The Railway Arms Hotel starts to take shape, from a plan book by Allan Downes, from way back when.
Card covered with DAS modelling clay and then stones marked out with a roller.

Looks like an abandoned stately home at moment.
Nice work on the stone work.

Windows added and the roof.
It has been made to fit at the rear behind the station building.

While the chimney stacks dry, I have ripped up my original fencing in the coal yard and will replace it with another, more to scale I hope, the planks on the original looked too wide.
Posts in position.

Meanwhile, I have got a Horse drawn coal wagon. This is from Langley Miniature Models and is in white metal. This will be in the coal yard.

You get a sheet of instructions and white metal horse, cart, coalman and sacks. The man's hand is separate!!!
