CVR[T] Spartan
« on: May 18, 2022, 08:14:59 PM »
I purchased this 1/35 scale Accurate Armour Spartan APC at Telford in 2019.
It's an all resin kit so will have to see how i get on.
Started by removing the casting blocks from the hull top and bottom.

Will be interesting to see how you fare with an all Resin kit Bob, though its by Accurate Armour and I think there amongst the best in the business.

Although resin, they are usually nice kits and go together well, I built some 1:48 for the BOB diorama.
Good luck with this one BOB.
Don't forget to take all the usual precautions when working with resin.

I think Bob already has.......!!

Look at his Avatar, he is either very well prepared, or the forgotten son of Darth Vader.
Sorry Bob!

No doubt another great model in the making if your fantastic Scimitar is anything to go by.

A bit different than the AFV Club wheels and suspension, this one you have to attach the wheels to the suspension arms first, they are them attached to the lower hull via butt joints, a spacer is required so that all the wheels sit straight and level this was made from wood and card to a depth of 8mm ish.

A little bit more.
The kit comes with resin track sections couldn't get on with them, I had some spare tracks from an AFV Club Scimitar but the are a bit tight, cut a long story short I bought some Friulmodel tracks and that's what I'm working on at the moment, they look really good just a bit of time to assemble.

Just some pictures of where I am with the Spartan.
Tracks done, bit of a pain but lovely when finished.
Just about ready for spraying.
