Base and back section made and painted black. Sign added to the back wall ( sorry for some of you but its not in Latin - supply your own version - hohoho) and now to work on the figures and the section of ground they will be on.

Four soldiers at the corners of the empire - not sure if they will be looking inward towards Rome or looking outwards and protecting the borders of the empire - decisions decisions decisions - hohohoho

From about 100AD they should be lookinh inward... ...maybe.

Have tried them both ways Andy - looking inwards it just looks like 4 soldiers about to beat each other up - so its outward facing for the finished model.
