The Japanese had an I-400 class submarine during WWII that could carry 3 seaplanes so that would have been huge.

Red Lancer

Fascinating stuff, both the model and information!

Great stuff.

I agree Andy - always wanted to do it setting off to attack the Panama Canal - but looking at the stash it will have to wait for at least another year, lots and lots and lots to do and at my slow rate of finishing well who knows when.

I think that's it folks, job jobbed.
The aircraft may come at a later date but till the model is mounted on a base
with water around it , there's nowhere for it to go.

Very Nice Haddock,
Look forward to seeing the Surcouf in the 'water' setting.
Another sub on the horizon for the new year?

I hope my next is always better

Looks really nice, it will be good to see it in some water.

Is next year going to be a sub par year?
Not really, it was done to test some paints after the pantomime with the corvettes.
Nice to do something with not many parts for a change though, ideal if your modelling
time is limited.

Well done Mr Haddock
