Hi Andy,
Excellent work, on a sure footing with this one (pardon the pun!)
Never mind biking to work, get those four props turning and you could fly there in style.
Nice, very nice.
Cheers,
Bigkev
I hope my next is always better

This is my effort to try and avoid the 'wabbly prop syndrome'.
The picture shows the white 3D printed shaft you get to link the motor to the prop, however the shaft dose not run true.
What to do..

So here's the fix... I hope. ;D
I bought some brass watch bushes. Now, they don't quite fit the prop bosses but after adding some heat shrink wire insulation and trimming to length they fit quit nicely without any glue.
I then mounted the motors directly behind the props witch takes out some more of the 'wobble'.
The kit spinners don't spin totally true but I think I'm getting there. Time will tell.
The wings are almost built now. more pics tomorrow.
Thanks all.

Keep at it, the MK1 eyeball is a very precise piece of kit.

I could do with your MK1 eyeballs for this one Mr Haddock.
Wings!! BIG WINGS...Here they are... I can just fit both in the spray booth. Its going to cost me a fortune in paint.
You can see the motor directly behind the prop.  You get 4 Merlin's in the kit but I have just built one into my offering. This means I have 3 Merlin's going spare. ::)
For my own sanity I have chosen to concentrate my efforts on the functionality of this kit more than super detail.  Good move... Bad move?? We will see.
Thanks all for now.

What a beast.
I'll just go and buy some shares in Dulux.

The wings certainly are big Andy. I'm sure you'll make a good job of the it whichever way you go.

This is going to be a 'monster' when it's finished. Keep at it Andy you're doing great.

Looking forward to seeing the wings and body fitted together - don't know about a bigger bench think you will need a bigger room - hohoho

Red Lancer

Looks to be going well Andy

Disaster :(
I dropped the bloody thing while I was having a move around, it fell 6ft from a shelf.
BUT... We can rebuilt it.

On the mend. It was touch and go for a while.  ;)

The electronics survived but the fuselage was split in three places. I had to put a metal staple in to stop it splitting again. The size and weight of the model has thrown up a few problems, but we're getting there.
More pics to come.
