soon be our 1st ever show so come on people lets show everybody what a thriving active club we are,get posting chatting and letting people know not only do we have some outstanding modellers ,but we have a fantastic eclectic mix of good humoured helpful people in our growing club.

I'll second that Geoff, theres more to this model club than meets the eye. The cameraderie is priceless. Shame a lot more members don't comment on here, but maybe they don't have computers/laptops with internet access. Something to discuss at a meeting in the future?

Hi All,

Yes, it was a truly fantastic day, it was far busier than we could have hoped for and the reports and comments were very encouraging.

THANKS to all the guys and lady, who came and helped over the weekend at the show. You all did a absolutely FANTASTIC job, and considering we had never ever done anything like this before, we deserved  a 'GOLD' for our efforts.

Not 100% perfect, but as near as we could manage it on a first attempt.

WELL DONE TO ALL INVOLVED!!!

AND  THANKYOU!!

Bigkev

PS. I will post all the photo's I get on the Blog as soon as I can.
I hope my next is always better

Morning all,
I have finally got myself logged on at work as laptop at home is US (that's "unserviceable" and not "running on 110 volts with everything spelt incorrectly"!) so thought I had better make a post to say HELLO formally on here.

Thanks to all for making the show - our first and my first too - such a memorable event!  My camera is also US, so I would love to see ALL the pictures that were taken as there was a lot of inspiring stuff out there.

The opportunity to judge was a big surprise and I felt very flattered to be (t)asked.  It was the one of the hardest things I have done so for the standard of the models not being at competition level - I've all of a sudden got scared of building again  :D

Thanks again and I'm looking forward to our next one very much.

Hi All,

Well the show pictures are on the Blog at last.

Sorry it has taken me a day or two to get them on, but I've had a couple of other things out of the show to deal with first.

Airfix have been sent the Make N Take pictures, and I have had a nice reply from Ryan Maxwell of Hornby/Airfix regarding them. If you wish to look at the Airfix Facebook page they will be available to see there.

I have also done a Traders Feedback form and sent it to the Traders present to get their reaction in detail for the day, we already have got the Club/SIG ones so far and they all are positive. Well done Lads and Lassies ( Incl Nicola of DAS) for a great show, it would not of happened without you.
