And now for a shiny model
« on: November 10, 2020, 03:41:02 PM »
Been busy today with the airbrush. Very pleased with the result so far. I may change my mind when the euphoria of lacquer fumes wears off. We shall see.

Of course there is Kev. It's going to be a replica of the first Citroen I had during my student years in New Zealand. I'm in the process of converting it from left hand to right hand drive and DS spec to that of an ID19. At least that's the plan.

I love the way your models relate to aspects of your life.

While there is a personal link for some of my models it is equally true there are many that I just find fascinating either because of their technological and or historical significance, Q.E.D. a current fascination with Herr Heinkel's jets. I do have some themes that alternate and endure such as New Zealand aviation, the 2nd New Zealand Army in Italy and the Targa Florio.

One white micro filler primer coat allowed to dry for two days then nibbed off with a lint free cotton cloth. Colour was applied as a mist coat followed fairly quickly with a wet coat. End of story.

Converted to a very crude ID19 spec. Left hand drive moved to right hand side, seats modified to bench configuration with arm rests added. That in simple terms is the chassis and interior sorted.
