This one I am intending to put in a small diorama. Yes both Martin and Dave got me fired up with dioramas. The kit is the Italeri 1/72nd kit. I have already cut the doors out of the starboard side and filled the hinges on the port side. The aircraft in Vietnam were flown without doors. I have a couple of figures to put in but the crew chief is a little big (or chopper too small) so I'll have to decide how to attack that problem. PSP acquired and I need to make some sandbags for a revetment.
This project could be a little slow.

Slow is fine - it will be great to watch it develop.

Not any more.

I've had a lot more practice than you two!

I expect to do some sand bagged revetments with psp on the ground. I'll need to think about some additional figures maybe.  Don't know yet.

So far so good.
Andy.
Yeah, went and broke it trying to fit it in the fuselage properly. Had to do another mod to get a proper fit. Why do I work with such small stuff?

Hi Chris,
I built one of these a few years ago, it is a tiny airframe, needing the manipulation of fingers more suited to a Sci-fi film.
But although small, I'm sure you will turn out something 'special'.
Hang on in there, Chris, your next model could be a 'Chinook' or something similar in size to make up for this one.

I hope my next is always better

chriswil42

Yes you may be right Kevin. Some larger ones to come.

You takes your choice: 'compact and bijou' or 'big and ungainly' (which take up more storage space!!!!)
It's looking good Chris keep up the good work.
