Not exactly a work of beauty... but as this is my first rigging with wire, it's not too bad....or is it?

Bigkev

Hi Pen-Pusher,
It looks okay so far. We all have to start somewhere, so this is 'big' step for you.
Keep us updated with progress and problems along the way, somebody will be able to help If you get into difficulties.
Cheers,
Bigkev
I hope my next is always better

Will do. You will probably hear the screams from a distance!!

Brave move PP.  I have several things that will need rigging at some point and I'm going to be following this build with interest.  First I need to finish off several other projects though.  I'm looking forward to taking the plunge in a perverse way though.  Had a lesson from Haddock back when we met in the railway buffet in Brid and Kiteman keeps me informed of his techniques, successes and failures so I'm quite well armed with knowledge - I just need the time!!

Good luck nevertheless.

Kiteman

Looks fine to me, just keep going and get get the rest in. It will be fine I am sure. The question is, are you going to paint the rigging when finished??

Pen-Pusher

Progress....

Bigkev

Hi Pen-Pusher,
to what scale is your Gipsy Moth?
I know its Amy Johnson's 'Jason'
Cheers,

Blimey, I was going to say you lot ore quick workers but in fact it's me that's so incredibly slow!

Part of the problem is I'm easily inspired and distracted by what you all put up here so I'm having to try very hard not to want to get one of my 4 Gloster Gladiators out so I can have a go at rigging too!

1/72 Big Kev.... the old Frog model. Nice to build on a quiet evening!

Two figures are included with the kit, one a seated figure which is much underscale (1/80) but wearing a skirt!!!! (The last thing Amy would be seen in around an aeroplane!). The other figure is about 1/68 if modelled on Amy's 5' height (As seen in the photo below) but at least this is moulded with the proper attire!
