No Kiteman I HATE tea - the only tea I drink is China Tea or similar

I am not happy ( before Zak makes the comment - I don't know which of the other dwarfs I am ) the sails have now been soaked in tea and have a good colour BUT they are very even, with no colour difference.
The photo of the square sail has had coffee granuals soaked onto it - the triangular one has been painted with very small drops of vallejo paint onto the material and then lots of water added to wash it into the sail.
I think the coffee one looks more natural !!!!!!!!

First go at coffee stain on the sail a complete wash out ( the jokes are getting worse) you can see the granule of coffee on the sail and then hot water added to the granule. When it was finished I put the whole sail in a tray of water and surprise surprise the coffee stain just disappeared.
Back to the drawing board and this time after the coffee granule and drops of hot water, I just washed the stain into the sail with more water on a brush - so I hade more control of the effect.
Now to let it dry and see the final result.

What exactly is the effect that you are looking for?

Haddock

If he's like me, he doesn't really know till he gets it. Happy accidents.
Haddock.

zak

All this colouring reminds me of a character from Captain Pugwash.
