Hi All,
Just a brief update about the Wakefield Show that we attended on Sunday. It was held in the Wakefield WX Centre and was a great venue, being warm and good lighting. We had two tables and were well supported by club members. These were, Bob, Chris W, Chris H, Lindsay, Wayne, Steve, and myself. In addition there was Francis looking after his NZ SIG stand, and Dave M came too, his mission to buy a kit or two to even up the other half's spending on wool!
We had a very varied and colourful club display and had some great comments. Wayne's futuristic figure display with lighting drew a lot of attention with the younger visitors.
Wayne, Steve and I, all entered in the open competition which was well supported, and luckily we came away with some 'Silvers' for our entries. Steve two, Wayne one, and myself two, so not a bad haul.
Some pictures of the motley crew and some of the club table:-

It looks like I missed a good show.
Well done to the competition winners!

Nice one, guys; apologies for being unable to be there - though it looks like there was scarcely enough space for those who did attend. Well done for the competition results!

It is a better photo, you can hardly see me, lol!!! The space was left for Wayne and Steve and I'd said to Bob you could get another table in as there was room at either end without blocking access. A great position though, hope we get it next time. A highlight of the day for me was finding out the make of the first model I ever made. It was the the Rosebud/Kit Master model of 'The General' the American loco with the ''cow-catcher' on the front, bought as a Christmas present when I was around 10 by my Uncle.
