Have just watched "47 Ronin" again to look at skin colours and used Vallejo dark flesh with medium and flat as high/low. 
Will let it dry but think I am going to have to use a darker brown to get a more correct colour

Could you not give it a day in strong sunshine and hope it gets tanned naturally............?
