Coat of gel on the hull and sea - now it should dry clear and give the impression of a wet hull  :-\  :-\  :-\  :-\

Now who will be on the table and let it burst out of them  :'(  :'(  :'(  :'(
Decided the gel looks wrong so will have to try and smooth it down and put on a coat of gloss varnish  :P  :P  :P  :P  and the box needs another coat of brown, some models fight you all the way  >:(  >:(  >:(  >:(  >:(  >:(  >:(  >:(  >:(

Thought it would be ready for the comp on Wed night. Can't live with the gel effect, so its sanding sanding sanding to try and remove as much as possible. Then hope a coat of gloss black and some gloss varnish covers the mess and will also put lots more cotton wool on to cover even more.
You think you have problems Dave when Howard spots a fingerprint, wait till he sees this  :'(  :'(  :'(  :'(  :'(  :'(

Becoming quite a saga this one. I do enjoy the frequent episodes though. So much more interesting than that Achers dribble.

MSea

Yes Zak you are correct and I was brain mush as normal - so I can go down to half speed sanding to remove the gel. :-\  :-\  :-\

You'll get there Martin - even for the August competition.

Cotton wool balls glued into place - NOW LET IT DRY SOLID - must learn patience hohoho
When solid will tease out most of the wool and then have to replace it, if I have gone toooooooo farrrrr.
Still not happy with the wet look hull but heyho we shall see how it looks in the end. :'(  :'(  :'(  :'(  :'(
