I thought I'd better get going with this to try and be ready for our model show. Hopefully this will be ready to display alongside the Chinook Bravo November fo the Falklands anniversary.

Decal disaster. The first decal prepared fell apart. Now scrabbling through the spares for a replacement. Will varnish over the rest to stop the falling apart.

I regularly have that problem and sometimes give them a coat of microscale decal film - a tip from Big Kev, it works sometimes, but not always.
Is this an old kit? That is what usually causes me problems, Roden transfers are sometimes very thin.
Grumpy by name and nature

I've used a thin coat of the Humbrol clear varnish before which worked. I'm doing the same again. The kit probably came out at a previous Falklands anniversary - 25th maybe.

Hi Chris,

If you need some roundels or numerals I might have something in my spares. Let me know if I can help.

I think I should be ok Kevin. Thanks for the offer anyway.

Complete. I managed to prevent the decals separating with a coat of varnish.
