Base made and several lumps knocked out with a hammer to give it grip and then some holes drilled at 45degrees.  Shuttering fastened to the edges with sellotape round the edge so the plaster doesn't grip.
Last photo is the venus fly traps ready for painting.

Floor stones marked out and cut, next job some colour shading and a dark wash.

I usually etch out the joints with  a scriber or small screwdriver.

Looks good.

Yes I do the same with a scriber, but being in a rush it was still not dry in the center section under the top layer, and started to come apart.  So have let it dry some more in the sun and then used a cutting bit in the drill.

Two sets of venus fly traps now added to the car roof.

A start made on a fly , showing the body and the 2 eyes, wings and legs to make next.

Some colour on the fly - now should it stay as fly type eyes, as it is -  OR should they have some cartoon type black dots in each eye - decisions decision decisions.

Is it a bluebottle?

No getting anything past you Haddock - did the colour give it away - hohohhoho

Fly/bluebottle has now grown legs (he has stopped drinking and is no longer legless - hohohho ) now also fastened to the car roof..
