as I am not up much on the recent (relatively) Maritime world,
just how big are these masterpieces in terms of inches?

Hi Howard,
Thanks for the kind comments with those of the rest of the gang.
A Type IXB in 1/350 scale is about 8.5 inches long.

So in the grand scheme of things they are relatively small.
That makes your modelling even more impressive!

Just to let you know this one is now finished.
Have added the aerials and floatation bouys.
Final coat of Matt Varnish by Vallejo.
