For some strange reason I always liked their shape.

I agree it looks like a chopper should look like

Interestingly enough I do remember vaguely having a polythene "model" of one of these when I was very small.

Hi Chris,
Nice looking model, now where is the scale 'Mickey Rooney?'
Cheers,
Bigkev
I hope my next is always better

MSea

Who would you model the figure of Mickey Rooney on ??????????
Just reading the new issue of Fine Scale Modeler - Dec 2020 - an article on the Academy 1/35 scale MH-60S Seahawk  this has been super detailed and think you would enjoy it, they have it in Smiths in Beverley today.

Have you seen that Kovozavody Prostejov have released the Robinson R-44 Raven in Civil and Military boxings? Another small chopper for the collection?

The Bridges at Toko-Ri, Great film but the casting was terrible.

Great build Chris.

Here it is painted with several coats of yellow.
Note to self: use white primer instead of grey for yellow top coat.

Coming along nicely. You could have used the grey as pre-shading?

chriswil42

Here it is complete with the usual Mr Hobby paints. Not a bad build; mouldings a little thicker but that works to the advantage as there are no locating pins and holes.
