Trial run for making breeze blocks

The breeze block was the correct scale size but it just looked wrong, so have scaled it up a little and I am now happy with it - rivet counters say your worse.
Its just a block of insulation foam with 2 holes drilled into it, it was so soft they just pushed through more than drilling. Then a square file used to get the shape of the internal holes and then the outside filed down to the correct size.

Just for you Zak - the photo shows from left to right the block, holes drilled. filed to inner shape and then filed to outer shape.

I think they will look very effective.
I love a bit of scratch building ingenuity, why buy something when you can make it.
Much more satisfying.
