Now I have plenty of time ahead of me I have decided to start a new project. Accurate Miniatures 3.7" HAA gun. This will be a new experience for me, all those little bits of Resin!

Hi Meremodeller,
Nice to have you back on here, look forward to seeing this project come along.
However, your image of the kit cannot be seen on the site in its current format.
Can you add it as a photo/picture?
Allowed file types are doc, gif, jpg, pdf, png, text, zip
It also might need resizing as not to exceed 2048KB, and a max of 10 pictures not exceeding 2048KB in total.
Thanks,
Bigkev
I hope my next is always better

Sorry about the image, I have reposted it to the correct size etc.

That looks a nice kit!  I have a smashing book on German Flak - very detailed with some wonderful modelling idea but there seems to be very little about British air defence that I can find - at least not in one authoritative publication, which got me thinking more about exactly what we had and how it was used.  Pity it's 1/35 as it limits the use in dioramas with aircraft somewhat.

Just a thought ----  have you decided on this project to be able to shoot down Neil's aircraft ????????

Hi Msea,
Neil's models would be ideal target practice!!
And at 1/35th, the ammunition would be bigger!

Completed the 1st step of the Barrel and Cradle. Fit not as good as I had hoped and the instructions are not helped by the wrong numbering of some parts. Please don't expect an update at every stage but I will post when the Barrel and Cradle is complete.
By the way, any ideas on the colour for HAA guns at this stage of the war?

zak

Probably bronze green, but Tony W would be the man to ask.

So, not the green seen in the TV programme about the NYMR?!

zak

Was that green or brown?

Hi Bill,
It's starting to take shape, eh?
Not as easy a kit as the P-51H!?!
I have just restarted work on the Special Hobby Fiat BR.20... which has similar wrongly numbered parts and has horrendous fit problems. It's presently clamped all over on my workbench until the glue dries!
I must find my camera so I can post photos too.

Hi Biggles,
See how easy it is to post.
Now lets see a new topic Special Hobby Fiat BR.20 on 'Modelling Projects' by Biggles.
Meremodeller, look forward to seeing this build come along.
How somebody with intellect, sorts out the mis-numbering, and ends up with a great finished article.
Cheers,
Bigkev

That is a really nice looking kit with plenty of detail.  Will it be a standalone item or will it go on some sort of diorama?

It would look good in a diorama with some figures - but not your usual foibles!
