Dear All,
It is with a sad heart that I must inform you that Barry Ketley sadly passed away on Monday 20th January 2014. As you are probably aware Barry had a heart transplant recently, and though was recovering well, he contracted an infection that in his weakened state was unable to stave off, and sadly passed away.

Barry, a quiet and unassuming man, with oodles of information, knowledge and skill, will be sadly missed by all at the club. He was generous, and very approachable, and always willing to listen, talk and advise those he came into contact with. He never let anyone feel that they did not have anything to offer, and encouraged individuals to show their modelling skills no matter how experienced or not they were, all had a place in the modelling scene.

He was a real true Gentleman, and one that we will all miss.

Our thoughts go out to Barry, his family and friends at this sad time.

I hope my next is always better

I was very sad to hear about Barry. He will be sadly missed at club nights. Always quiet but very knowledgeable.

I shall be attending his funeral on Friday 31st Feb in Hull. If any members from Bridlington want a lift let me know.

A very fine send off for Barry yesterday.  I shall miss those drives to club meetings with him sat next to me in the car, always ready to share his knowledge, experience and advice about not only modelling but life in general.

Thanks to those who attended, I know it was appreciated by his Wife and Son.

Yes, a moving occasion.
Nice to see so many club members present, including the odd IPMS member.
