But first I'm just going to try a load a photo of a Bf 109F that I have to hand on some older downloads to see if that works.

Think its how you have filed your pictures.
I cannot open them.
Andy or Bill might be able to point you in right direction, their a bit more 'Techie', than me.
But, you are getting ever nearer to showing off your stuff.

Hi Red you need to have "shrink pics" or some other form of making the photo a smaller size. If / when you have it will pass all the rest of the info to you either on line or I will ring you.
