Finished as 3Z+GS from 8/KG77 based at Laon/Couvron, Nthn France July 1940 which took part in various operations over Sthn England until December 1940 before withdrawing to re-equip with Ju88As.
I've had two attempts at making the 'towel rail' using different grades of wire so the plane is complete apart from that. I will revisit this once my skills improve in that area (could be a long time), so it's into the hanger as is. Stays were added for the access door from fine wire as these are also missing from the kit (Photo 1).
If I were to make this kit again then I'd put all the m/gs in place before painting even though it could create problems masking as when I took the cockpit glazing off to fit them I had to rework all the joints, seal and re-paint.
Another thing to watch out for is when fitting the SC50 racks into the bomb bay, check alignment with the openings in the top of the fuselage otherwise when you come to fit the quarter lights you have to jiggle them. Ask me how I know? I had one lucky escape. When re-fitting the cockpit canopy I got a Kristal Klear thumb print on the inside. Luckily I managed to get a damp Q Tip inside and wipe it off!!!
All in all a great kit, it just needs a little TLC in places and you even get the option of various positions for the variable incidence tail plane, control surfaces and flaps.
Paints used were by Xtracrylic, Humbrol and Tamiya with Flory washes and Citadel Nuln oil.

Postscript to the build. Whilst rooting through my etched brass spares looking for intake fans for the Me 262 I came across a set of 'towel rail' aerials from the Siebel set which I'd forgotten were in it. Bonus. So these are now in place looking a lot better than my scratch-build attempts!!
