Funny that you should mention that, as most fighter airfields were grass they must have cut and rolled it at the very least.
So, they must have had tractors and grass cutters, mostly this was done by contractors, but some airfields did have their own. Who knows, food for thought?

By the hairs on my chinny chin chin is a quote from somewhere I think.
Anyway back to modelling.
The generator is coming along.
It will be painting and then onto the searchlights.
