All 3 sections of the deck now had a coat of Flory wash and then fixed to the hull

Back to the "Dark Side" -- that will keep Haddock happy
The stern superstructure showing the plastic part and the brass replacement - now to pick out the individual planks on the new brass deck and then cut off the solid surround on the plastic part that will be replaced with the brass rails.

Underside view of the hull and deck showing the small brass tube fastened through the deck. These are to allow the rigging to be passed through and fastened underneath and out of sight -- thank you Haddock for the idea.

Like the decking. Looks like a very involved kit.
Well done.

Hi Msea,
Looking very good, and using a 'Haddock Moment', see the club and website has its uses.
Now you just have to show 'Haddock' that you are the next 'Master' in the dark side of modelling.
No pressure then....!
Cheers,
Bigkev

I take it this is a technique rather than part of the kit build?  Be interesting to see biplane builders use this too  ;D

Bi-plane builders don't need to go through two levels of plastic!!

Hi Haddock,
Don't biplanes have two wings?
Normally each wing is moulded in one piece, does that count as two levels of plastic,
Just a thought...

The skylights have been removed and the holes drilled out and some brass one fitted to the right hand side
