Its all Neil's fault again.  Just been given this box of part made bits with lots of parts missing -- and the comment of YOU are weird so you will do something strange with this lot.
So its now going to be converted into a stone age plane with several odd things on it such as movable weights on each wing to make the plane turn and catapults for armament and any other strange things that come out of my head, so be warned.
Now have can I get a Fred Flintstone in 1/48 scale to fly the plane ????????

Did you hear the naughty nautical language,  tried to coax the 2 half's of the body back together and then that lovely sound "CRACK" as she broke on the starboard side aft of the gun turret. At least it will all be covered with cardboard strips and tissue paper in the end, so no permanent damage done.
When it is solid will "hack" out the pilots and the gunners areas, and replace with open seating.

Decided to start at the other end - tail plane cut off and will be replaced on a pivot so it can be rope operated from inside the aft end of the plane. Next some sanding -big scale - to remove bits not wanted on the body of the plane.

Bomb bay doors fitted after a fashion and a smigin of household filler added. When dry will sand down the body and fill again.

Hi Msea,

Now for the 'NORMAL' modeller this looks like a really weird project, but for you.......
This will raise a few eyebrows and a laugh no doubt.
Now, I just want to know when the model is finished, will you bring it along wearing a Fred Flintstone outfit complete with inflated club....?

That would almost be funny, if it were not true!

Trial run for the card frames -- decided that if it was stuck down with PVA you had to keep going back to press the card down onto the plastic. So stuck with a couple of small dobs of "tacky wax" and then some PVA run along the edges, seems to work OK.

Lots of small sections of tissue fastened to the wing and when dry will try to paint them all different colours to represent animal skins fastened together.

It just got worse -- its now in glorious technicolor, just the stitching marks to add when it is dry.

Not firing mushrooms but the ford gun tub made and lined with wood to fire stones from the catapult.

I sometimes wonder what goes on in that head of yours.
