Two for the price of one - just for Haddock

Just to make you all laugh again at MSea stupidity -  just looked at the palm tree and decided that they are much much 2 large, they would be OK for 1/350 scale but seem out of scale for the 1/700 scale American destroyer.  So will cut down the trunk to half size and make some smaller fronds.

First tree finished.  The first photo shows the new smaller frond against the old larger frond.  The second photo shows the tree with fronds added.

Trees and destroyer added to the base.  Now I need some fine golden sand - sounds like a trip to Bempton to look at the beach.

German destroyer now has a coat of paint on the sea

German destroyer also has a coat of light grey paint on the hull.  Most of this will be removed when it is dry.

First photo is a coat of yellow on the plaster beach, in case it shows through the sand.
Second photo shows some sand being ground down and sorted into size, the finest will be used on top of the yellow for the beach.
