Model room revamp

So here we are, no flooring down as yet, everything painted, curtains washed, books dusted and so on.
The Knees, hips and other joints are all suffering.
I have a lot of books that I will be disposing of.
The joys of ageing!
The models on the table are on EBay and I await developments, collection only, if you are interested look under modelman-2007.
Vosper and MAS both 1/35.
Cross section of the Victory and a large Galleon, both dust ridden.

See.....I told you that he would do it in 60 seconds flat, and paint afterwards!!

Floor laid - carpet tiles, for when I have a spillage and then I just replace one or move it so it cannot be seen.
Now I just need to sort out all my stuff and try to put it into some sort of order.

I need to talk to you about spray booth's and extractors Zak.
I depend on open window still, need something more efficient at removing those paint fumes..........
I feel an investment coming on.

I bought mine from P&S Hobbies - the shop in Scarborough, he seemed as cheap as anyone.
I have had it a bout three years.
I clean it out regularly.
As it vents outside I do not use any filters.

Would a kitchen extractor do the job??

I built my own using aluminium sheeting used for making shop signage, it was called skybond. I used an old cooker hood for extraction that has a light and 3 speed settings. The light is not much good so I had to incorporated better lighting. The beauty of the cooker hood is it has built in filtration if you cannot vent directly to outside your room.

You really need a fan with an enclosed motor, so a bathroom fan is no good, I expect a kitchen extractor has an enclosed motor due to fats etc. being removed.
This is to prevent sparking and setting some of those volatile liquids on fire.
There are some horrendous stories of people losing their hair by a flashback. 9What was that? I'm ok then)
