Dear All,

I am very sorry to pass on the sad news that our larger than life club member Geoff Proudfoot, sadly passed away earlier today in hospital after fighting hard in his battle with his Brain Tumour illness.

Geoff was a larger than life character who will be sorely missed by his family and friends. His quick and direct wit was a joy to behold. As his illness progressed Geoff became more unwell, to the point where he was unable to leave home easily.

Our thoughts and best wishes go to Ruth and Dane at this sad time.

if I get any details regarding Geoff's funeral arrangements I will post them here.

I am very sorry to hear this sad news!  Many thanks for letting us know.

Sadly it is one of those tasks I must carry out.

I have a card which I will be sending to Ruth and Dane on behalf of the club, expressing our condolences and sad loss of a great guy at this very sad time.

Very sad news about Geoff.
We shared the same sense of humor, he had me in stitches many a time.
My thoughts are with Ruth and Dane.
Rest in Peace Gentleman Geoff.

Geoff was an inspiration with his humour and his model making skills - as he said he was a modeler not just a kit assembler. My thoughts are with Ruth and Dane.

Gentlemen,

I am still awaiting news on Geoff's funeral arrangements. I was expecting to get them Friday 30th January, but still awaiting info.
Col. Tony is going to get in contact with Geoff's family as soon as he can, but to date there has been no one available to answer his calls.
As soon as I get any further update I shall post on here as well as contacting those of you who can by email.

A well attended funeral.
Nice to see so many of our club present.
I personally found it very moving.
We were thanked for the flowers and card.
Just thought I would post this here to let all of you know how it went.

Sorry I couldn't be there but glad it went as well as these things can be expected to go.  I did spare a thought at the appointed time.

Hi All,

Just spoken to Dave, who attended. He tells me there were about 11 or 12 members present today.

A great tribute to a great guy. Sorry I could not make it, but could not get time off from work, but like Wizzel my thoughts and prayers were there at the time of the service.

Thanks to all who were able to attend on this sad occasion.
