Looking good, nice to see you at Mr Cropper's emporium.

Don't worry chaps, I'll calm down when the novelty has worn off!
Here's some snaps from the shipyard featuring bent brass.
These closeups aren't very flattering are they, need to get the dust brush out.
Might look better with a touch-up and a blast of matt varnish.

Hi Haddock,
Looking great as it always does, so don't be so hard on the pictures. We all know how good your work is, something I hope to aspire to but know, I will never attain.
Keep these posts coming, it is like a breath of fresh air to the website.
More..............................................PLEASE!
Bigkev
I hope my next is always better

zak

More like a storm than a breath of fresh air.
Keep working, but remember the quicker you build it the sooner the decorating must start!
I am always astounded at your modelling skills brilliant stuff, etched brass - simple, maybe for you.

Those close ups are always very unkind.

Sure you don't mean winkles?

Here's a picture of " the Admirals Walk" .It's where the admiral went on his days off to get away from the riff raff. I can just see him now, sat in his deck-chair, can of lager in one hand, packet of Woodbines in his top pocket, carefully studying page three of the sun, he might have had a hankie on his head, knotted at each corner to keep the sun off his bald patch if the awning wasn't rigged.
Looking at the picture, it strikes me that there wasn't a lot of room to move about, you'd have to duck very low to pass under the three inch guns poking out of the hull, facing aft.
I don't think this is the best example of naval architecture I have seen. I reckon the guy that designed this bit was on about the same intellectual level as a flither.

Maybe the guns could be retracted when not in use, did they have to clear for action and so on?
Was the Admiral very short?
Did he remove his wooden legs?
Maybe no one liked the Admiral?

The guns were mounted on pedastals so could swivel and has a very small amount of elevation and depression. Your other observations could be quite valid.

Here's a couple of snaps to show the latest efforts. Everything you see is now fixed in place. Still a lot to do.
