RFA Fort Austin, home made decals and I am in the process of trying to paint the helicopter pads, but am now of#n my third attempt, more when the paint dries.
Here is the Fort Austin next to HMS Hermes.

Meanwhile back in the shipyard, I have been busy working on another RFA ship, this time a tanker.
HMS Olmeda originally named Oleander. the name was changed so as to not be confused with HMS Leander.
This is an O class fast fleet tanker.

The fleet keeps on growing at an amazing pace. Lovely detailed work.

RFA Fort Austin Complete with sea.

The only other version of this in 1/700scale on line appears to have been built by yours truly in 2009. How time flies, it was perhaps a better model than this one.
Here it id https://www.modelshipgallery.com/gallery/service/hms/fortaustin-700-ds/ds-index.html

While I await a delivery of printer ink, I decided to rebuild another past ship. The ink is to enable me to print some home made transfers for the Olmeda.
Although this is supposed to be the SS Uganda, it only bears a passing resemblance to the original, so it will just be a hospital ship.
Note to self, must do better and take more care with the details and not get carried away with the build!!!!

My original is on the same site as the RFA Fort Austin and the RFA Blue Rover.

Just amazing Dave.
Your ingenuity and strive is a pleasure to behold.
I hope my next is always better

Olmeda has had the transfers added and a wash with black oils.

The progress on the hospital ship. Foe some reason the undercoat has filled in the railings!!!
