I think it is just the etched brass reflecting the light.
I will be painting them.

HMS Hermes has had the decals added, a coat of clear and some oil pin washes, A few Sea Kings on the deck.
Just trying to make some deck vehicles.

While the sea dries, I have started a kit from Starling Models, this is a 3D printed kit
with etched brass detail.
HMS Glamorgan, a County Class guided missile destroyer.

That looks like an awful amount of etch to tackle.
