Fast work Dave. They are looking good. Nobody will notice the incorrect colours.

The next model is in 1:350 scale and is a resin kit.
I purchased this at Telford from Timeless Hobbies.
This is a Thunderbirds related machine.
Here are the technical details.

Sidewinder

Us Army 4 legged, all terrain vehicle, built by Universal Engineering Incorporated.
Gyroscopically balanced.
Used for jungle clearing.
30 machines are known to exist.

Length   295 ft
Height   100 ft
Weight   500 tons
Crew      20 (but can carry 50)

The model was produced by Stargazer Models and casting was by UNCL.
Here are the instructions, quite brief really.

This will certainly be an eyecatcher and show stopper!

The body is one large casting.
The floor is in two parts.

The parts have been cleaned up and then fitted together, some filling was required to the floor.

The holes are for the legs, these have been cast around a carbon fibre rod to add some strength, this will be needed to support the large body castings weight.

Looking forward to seeing this one built. Everything else looks great also (as ever I'm playing catchup). An interesting scratchbuilt that could keep you busy for a while is the road laying machine from one of the episodes. Jungle in front and tarmac highway, including white lines out the rear. Now that would be a good challenge for you?

Further work on the legs and claws.
Body undercoated and painted a sort of Battleship grey with red bits, gun barrels attached.
Still have the details to paint and the decals to add.
Portholes and windows still to do.

Quite a simple kit, as it is really just a hunk of resin.
