As the sidetracked post got sidetracked into dioramas, I thought I should move on.

I have a diorama in mind but it depends on the club night tonight.
So that is on hold.

At the Northern Model Show I bought a Hobby Boss Huey and thought something in Vietnam would be appropriate. After talking to Chris at the Committee meeting, I thought that I would make a start.

A UH-1C as a gunship, is it a Frog or a Hog?
Certainly not a slick.

You're quick!
It's a hog.

Will we see a 'Slick Huey' in due course?
Perhaps you might even consider a Chinook, and a Skycrane.

I hope my next is always better

Not a slick yet, but an M84 from Italeri, again 1:72.
Decalled, weathering and a matt varnish to follow.

At least 2 vehicles and maybe a couple of helicopters, a paddy field and so on..............
Here is the M48, the Vietnam soil was very red, or so I believe!

An Italeri 1:72 M113.
Still to be weathered.

Meanwhile, I have started on an Italeri 1:72 Bell Uh-1D Iroquois, yes, A Slick.
I bought a CMK UH-1 Helicopter Crew. After building and painting the interior, it was a real problem to get the crew to fit.
Some serious carving and trimming of the crew and the interior was required, I eventually got them in, but a bit of a tight squeeze.

Wow this is quick, they are looking good, I want to see the paddy field.

At least they will be cosy together.......
Did you give them the Right Guard treatment first......?

Looking very nice Dave. I also had a similar issue with the CMK figures.
