Working on the paravanes  that are fastened to the sides of the two center turrets.
The model instructions say paint them scarlet and this is shown on several models that have been made and displayed on the internet, the Kangero book about the ship show them as grey - so I have decided to do them subdued red (Vallejo hull red) as think this looks the best - rivet counters do your worst - hohohohoho.  Waiting for them to dry before fitting so am painting the blast bags at the moment.

The ladder is an improvement on the plastic one.

Thanks to you all - yes brass is much better than the plastic bits -- but it "does your head in" at imes, don't know how Haddocit.
The plastic boat cranes improved with a bit of thread and a brass hook

This should make Haddock laugh - found these old "White Ensign" ariel spreaders and am going to try and give them a go -- listen for the naughty nautical language hohohoho

The holes in the end of the spreader bars are not etched right through and when I have drilled them they have split - SO have drilled a hole in the center of 2 spreaders and glued them to a thread, when dry, and I have had lots more coffee, will try and glue the outer threads onto them.
